Planet Patrol
This group hails from NYC and was formed in 1982. They only released one album which was self titled in 83. Their song "Play at Your Own Risk" was comprised from songs that never made it onto Afrika Bambaata's "Planet Rock" and made it to 64 on the Billboard charts.

Lee Perry
Lee Perry is mad genius. He started his musical career after recieving instructions to do so by rocks he was blasting to build the Jamaican Highway. He discovered Bob Marley. He walked around Jamaica backwards wearing a purple cape. Creator of dub. Ambassador to the extra-terrestrial race.

This is from "The Great Rock and Roll Swindle" I used to love this track when I was about 13. I'm Lucky to have found it on vinyl.

Obscurity
If you like overly obscure synth-pop from bands that literally don't even exist, you'll love this. The actual band is "Secession" from Scotland. They did only one full length album. This song had all the members, but for some reason they called themselves NoHo. Anyways, I think it's good, even if it's in a slightly cheesy way.
Wipe it out.
Go ahead, scoff all you want. The Fat Boys are the truth and you know it!!!

Philly Surf Invitational!!!
My boy, Matt (aka: Bropar) and I have been up to some cool things lately. He writes zines, throws shows and collects cool records. We're doin a party this weekend where I'll be spinning a bunch of old soul and honky-tonk. The location (see link) has changed and Bucket Flush will be replaced by "Mujares" from Spain, who play awesome psych rock. I thought you should still see the awseome old flyer, though.

Think - Once You Understand
What a strange record. Kind of like the "I learned it from watching you" or "This is your brain on drugs" from our parents day.

Hello World!!!
In order to simplify the overwhelming amount of internet accounts that one can accumulate these days, I've decided to consolidate everything. The entirety of my internet presence can now be searched at DjHonkytron.
(twitter/blogspot/soundcloud/gmail/mediafire) Yes, everything. If you'll excuse me, I have a great deal of uploading to do.
This is a link to my old blog. There's some decent stuff on there, and I'll eventually be uploading it here.
